The problem is this:

Could not load records, is akonadi running?

You have configured an Akonadi Collection that doesn't exist.

1) Make sure you have an Akonadi collection for an calendar resource.
   (i.e. akonaditray -> configure -> add an ical (or other calendar agent) 
   agent/resource.
2) configure kpilot -> kpilot -s.
   a) Select the calendar conduit.
   b) Explicitly select the collection you just added in the combobox.
   c) Click apply.
3) Now start a sync.

The important thing is that you make sure that KPilot is configured to use the
right resource. If the resource does not exists you get the message from the
logs you've posted.
