The testcase is .odt file with File->Properties->Title set to cyrillic (or just
umlauted) value.

The title is mangled in Dolphin information panel.

kdebase/apps/dolphin/src/panels/information/informationpanel.cpp calls
m_metaTextLabel->add(label, it.value().toString()); which apparently treats
qbytearray stored in qvariant as latin1 data.

instead nepomuk should store qstring there.

note that strigi analyzer works fine itself:
$ xmlindexer file.odt  | grep title
 <value
name='http://freedesktop.org/standards/xesam/1.0/core#title'>Титл</value>
