My machine now has dual 1280x1024 LCD's, while my husband has a single such display. Our video cards and other relevant aspects of our machines have not changed. The bug persists on my box using the 177.80 nVidia driver (latest available for my card that was also stable enough to use daily), and KDE 4.0.5 from the Ubuntu repositories (freshly installed while writing this, for this test). The problem persists on my husband's box, with KDE 4.1.2 (from ppa.launchpad.net) and nVidia driver version 96.43.05 (the latest available for his older card). It also occurs within a VirtualBox install of Ubuntu Intrepid, using KDE 4.2 beta 2 (ppa.launchpad.net repository), with the "Guest Additions" package, on my husband's box. This should sufficiently rule out driver and hardware issues. I recall chatting about this with someone on IRC sometime back. He stated that there were a number of different programming layers used to get images to the screen - one of which is responsible for rendering the SVG's into a buffer while another copies the results to the display as needed. He indicated that this second layer is where the problem likely exists. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
