           Summary: No devices shown in Systemsettings->Sound
           Product: Phonon
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: audio device listing
        AssignedTo: kretz@kde.org
        ReportedBy: Dareus_Persarumrex@fastwebnet.it

Version: (using 4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler:          cc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27-7-generic

I found that amarok, juk, dragonplayer can't play music files. I looked at
systemsetting->sound and found that there were no devices, in any category!

So I looked at phonon.kde.org and found that could be useful to post my
hardware config:

$ ./soundcardinfo.sh
/proc/asound/cards:

Anyway the bigger problem i have is that i can't play sound from kde apps.
Mplayer sounds fine and (very strange thing) Kmail notifications are played,
but i can't play them from Systemsettings->Notifications. The error is: i don't
hear any sound.
