Summary: Duplicate sound devices in System Settings
           Product: Phonon
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kretz kde org
        ReportedBy: echidnaman gmail com

Version: 4.2.0 (using KDE 4.1.0)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

When logging in to KDE, a notification pops up that says something like "The audio \
playback device x does not work, falling back to audio playback device x".

So I said, "It's falling back to the same thing it says is failing. I wonder what's \
up with that..."

I opened up System Settings and went to the Sound category. Under the devices list I \
found two entries for my sound card. Preferring the second device over the first \
device silenced the error message.

I'm guessing this is probably somewhat widespread, because I stumbled upon someone \
else having this problem here: \
http://mine.icanhascheezburger.com/view.aspx?ciid=1665143 (Also provides a \
screenshot, albeit a somewhat sensationalistic "for the lulz" one. ;) )
