I leave it up to Raphael for the sidebar width.  He knows best about these things.

As for KMail, there is also the Search Folders that we want to make better in the \
future as we get better support for virtual folders.  So I really don't think we can \
change that.

BTW: if you really want to save space, you can drag the sidebar splitter left and \
make the entire sidebar disappear.
