A URL-based home isn't practical. What if you have tabs, with file://$HOME in one, \
http://www.kde.org in another, and some FTP site in another? OK you could use the \
visible tab, but if you split views then the problem is back. And talk about a \
constantly-changing behavior :(

I think everyone should try the current (trunk, future 4.1) behavior (once it has a \
nice different icon) before suggesting more changes to the button's behavior.
