Revision 780739 fixes the bug so that the behaviour is consistent with Konsole in KDE \
3.5 and other terminals.  In other words, dragging the cursor beyond the end of the \
text in the last line of output 'selects' the new line character as well.

Actually fixing this particular report requires a more deliberate approach.

That is something which is deliberate and was added in prior to KDE 4 by someone \
else.  I presume the reason was so that the name of a command or a filename could be \
selected using double-click or triple-click selection (which doesn't include a new \
line at the end of the selection) and Ctrl+MMB paste explicitly adds in a new line \
character to do paste-and-execute.
