I think the idea with temporary locations is good, but if they are automatically \
purged at close for example, they can easily be lost by mistake if the user does not \
realize the temporary nature. Not a problem when used to it, but it is worth thinking \
how the temporary nature can be emphasized. 

Have you considered history feature for Dolphin? Like in regular shells. A limited \
history view with ability to "pin" certain entries could solve similar use cases. \
Directories where action took place (files where moved, opened, deleted or created \
for example) could be pinned automatically.
