1. So you prefer wrong behaviour which is not reliable? Seems strange to me.
2. You should use "lsb_release --id -s" (see patch), not "lsb_release". It takes 0.1s on my system.
3. Alternatively, you can just parse /etc/lsb-release, if it has to be faster. I am not sure it is LSB-compliant behaviour, though.
