I got exactly the same problems (i don't have tried to organise the files in the \
collection) on ubuntu feisty fawn 7.04 gnome 2.18.1 amarok 1.4.5 for KDE 3.5.6 (but \
i'm using gnome). I use a french version of Ubuntu. I can do some test if you want.
