Summary: user friendly GUI for ~/.kde/Autostart
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: coolo kde org
        ReportedBy: rolandwolters web de

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

I'd like to see an application/kcontrol modul which gives the user a GUI to define \
which applications to auto-start at KDE's start up. The idea is derived from a Gnome \
application which provides a GUI for exact that task: \
http://www.maximumpc.com/article/launch_apps_automagically_in_gnome

Usually such things can be managed quite easily by placing links in ~/.kde/Autostart \
- however, this is not what average computer users can do or want to do. And quite \
frankly, I would prefer a nice GUI as well.

I do know that for example system tray applications have to be managed on application \
level (according to bug #108530) and that there are other ways to start an \
application automatically. But that's not the problem, this wish is only about an \
easy way for average computer users to handle a set of autostart entries for their \
own favourite applications.
