------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146177 ------- Additional Comments From kev.gilbert yahoo com 2007-06-01 00:40 ------- I agree with your comment re bug vs config but I've posted to kde-multimedia (http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-multimedia&m=117924093602211&w=2) and kde (http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde&m=118041714104206&w=2) and received only one reply that did not solve the problem. Submitting this bug report was the only way I could think of to get some assistance in solving the problem. Re "arts backend": How do I go about that? One final comment and a bit of (I hope) constructive criticism: This is not the first time I've had problems with sound under KDE. I'm not exactly a n00b so if I have problems what does the non-technical user think of KDE / Linux? It should not be this difficult to get such a basic facility operational. I can only hope that KDE4 presents a far more friendly face to the user community. If it doesn't, how can I help to ensure that it does?
