Yes karbon has poor support for ps as well as eps files. Your particular file loads here but the strokes/lines of the geometry is not correctly imported. You can select all objects and give them a black stroke and you will see them. However the text seems not imported at all.
Sadly i have not much time working on the stable branch, as all my efforts goes into karbon for koffice 2.0. 
It is on my TODO for that version to finally have a decent support for eps and ps files.
