Summary: Feature Request (Save Settings)
Product: konqueror
Version: unspecified
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: konq-bugs kde org
ReportedBy: jqp364 yahoo com
Version: 3.5.5 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
Compiler: gcc 4.1 (N/A)
OS: Linux
Konqueror is an adequate web browser... actually I was quite impressed. I use \
Firefox, though, because it is cross-platform and more-or-less the same in Windows \
and Linux. So do not take offense.
What I really like about Konqueror is its two-window file manager mode. I have used a \
split-screen file manager for years, and it is really a time saver.
Here is the problem: though that is the primary way I use Konqueror, every time I \
start it up I have to load the "profile" to get to the view I want.
Most programs with multiple views of this sort allow you to save your "favorite" view \
so that comes up every time the program starts. This would be a great time-saving \
addition to the program. Konqueror's value to me as a work tool would be GREATLY \
increased.
