This bug is still present in 3.5.4.  If someone with the appropriate powers could follow the steps in the original report (which still reproduce the bug for me, except s/set for a/set to an/) and re-open the bug, I'd be grateful.  If there's no change in a week I'll guess I'll have to raise a new one.
