first, this problem should not be db specific.
second, what do you mean by "favourites routines" ?
third, ratings and scores should work with sqlite. if they do not work for you, that \
is a different problem. fourth, encoding is used according to tag specifications, not \
some wild developer decision. fifth, playlist saving/reloading problem is fixed in \
svn and should be soon available in most builds.
