Summary: amarok depends upon Ruby for no good reason
           Product: amarok
           Version: 1.4.2
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: amarok-bugs-dist kde org
        ReportedBy: novell kiruna se

Version: 1.4.2 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc 3.4.6
OS: Linux

When trying to configure amarok without having ruby installed the configure script \
complains about ruby missing on the system. However, there's no good reason to \
require ruby. I don't care about "daap" nor do I care about last.fm streams or \
anything else using ruby.

I removed the bogus ruby check in configure.in.in that makes the configure script \
fail and removed the daap stuff from the source (and hacked the Makefile.am) and \
amarok works just fine now (like it used to).

Forcing users to include stuff they don't have any use for, wasting resources is not \
very nice.

How to reproduce:
run ./configure without ruby installed

Expected result:
Disable any feature that requires ruby.
