In the optimized build on my machine this only takes about 8 seconds to sort out, \
which I don't consider critical.  (Note the debugging messages aren't printed in the \
debugging build.)

The file isn't actually an MP3 file.  It's just a bunch of not-so-random bytes, so \
TagLib scans the whole file looking to see if it can find MPEG content.
