Summary: blend transition in slideshow without OpenGL
           Product: kipiplugins
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kde-imaging kde org
        ReportedBy: Matthieu.Moy imag fr

Version: (using KDE 3.5.3, Debian Package 4:3.5.3-1 (testing/unstable))
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.17-1-486

blend transition with OpenGL is deadly slow on my machine (recent machine, without \
accelerated drivers for my videocard).

OTOH, even javascript applications manage to do a good job for blend transitions, on \
the same machine. It must be possible to write such transition without using OpenGL \
(maybe not as smooth, but with just 3 or 4 intermediate images, it would already be \
nice).

Thanks for the good work.
