Summary: switching to kjots 0.7 deleted all umlauts and directly
following letters from books and pages
Product: kjots
Version: 0.7
Platform: Debian testing
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: lee.jaison gmail com
ReportedBy: bugzilla kerridis de
Version: 0.7 (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux
With switching from kjots 0.6 to kjots 0.7 all my books were converted to a new file \
format (without any interaction, without any notification).
And now all german umlauts and all letters that follow directly to an umlaut in the \
converted books are gone - that will take some hours to fix it.
I have some more installations where I now need to switch to kjots 0.7 (because of \
the other book format - if you update one installation you need to update all in \
reach). How can I handle the umlauts problem? Is there a way to convert the old book \
files to the new book files without loosing the umlauts and the directly following \
other letter? In the options I can now tell kjots to use unicode. But that doesn't \
bring back the missing letters.
