bug exists at least in the versions 1.3.8 and 1.4-beta1

steps to reproduce:

create empty file:
$ touch foo.pls

go to playlist tab (vertically on the left side)

right klick on the red file named "Playlists", select "Add Playlist" and choose foo.pls

foo should now show up as a subfolder of "Playlists"

drag an arbitary song into the foo.pls

without quiting amarok
$ cat foo.pls
should show the added file

restart amarok

the former contents of foo.pls are no longer there
