The remaining problem in the handling of "\\n" seems to be a problem with the label \
parsing. For the case of legend label objects we do not want "\\n" interpreted as \
'\n'. The only way to avoid this problem that I can think of is to add a flag to the \
Label object indicating if we want to interpret "\\n" as a special character. If I \
don't hear any complaints I'll add the necessary code - making the default the \
current behaviour.
