Summary: inserting a cd rw hangs system -> hw reset necessary
           Product: k3b
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: trueg informatik uni-freiburg de
        ReportedBy: thomas.luebking web de

Version: 0.12.91 (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: gcc 3.4.1
OS: Linux

as soon as i insert a cd rw into my dvd burner (benq dw1640) k3b hangs the system \
completely (no cpu activity anymore) the disc seems to be ok, at least it's mountable \
and plays in my consumer disc player

there's no problem with dvds, pressed or burned discs but the (prewritten with k3b \
earlier, i have no vanilla rw disc) makes the system halt.

does k3b call another tool on this or is it an internal feature (so i could e.g. try \
to change the cdrecord version) and in the latter case, where in the code can this be \
monitored - i.e. which function in which file is called on this trigger?
