Seems you tried to rename to "tmpLog. jpg" rather, i.e. a space after the dot.
"Rename /tmpLogo. jpg: Permission denied"

Could it be that the underlying file system (FAT?) doesn't support this name?
Can you try renaming tmpLogo.jpg to foo.jpg or something?
If it still doesn't work - are you sure other FTP clients manage to rename files on this server?
Does downloading files work?
