Did you try previous versions, let's say KDE 3.4.x? 
Because there really was no changes for 3.5.0 so problems may indicate some 
mismatch in RPM packages. 

AFAIR similar problems (undefined symbol in libkommanderwidget.so) were 
reported some time ago (for 3.3.x, I believe) and they were solved then. 
Let's see if we can find out more.
