I have the same problem almost always:
using SuSE 10.0, OpenOffice 2.0.

Currently I am working only with CALC and after / when closing the program I almost always receive the crash-information.
What I surprisingly remark is that the program is very slow while running. Especially writing data on disk takes much too much time. Probably here starts the problem which causes finally the crash.

One more statement from the crash-handler:
(no debugging symbols found)
Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1".

Any idea? Can I trace something (please tell me how). Since the problem is easily reproducable on my system I could provide any information you want (only tell me how to track them).
Hope that you find soon a correction.
