Summary: square select and set to lower/upper case always crash
           Product: kate
           Version: 2.4.1
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kwrite-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: Ernestjw xs4all nl

Version: 2.4.1 (using KDE 3.4.2, Debian Package 4:3.4.2-4 (testing/unstable))
Compiler: Target: x86_64-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.13.4

Easy to repeat:

- create new file, fill up with letters
- do shift-ctrl-B to set square select
- select some part in the middle with these restrictions :
must be more than one line
must either select moving cursor right and upwards or left and downwards
using mouse or shift-cursor keys (same crash)
- shift-ctrl-U to set to low.... crash!

Actually just ctrl-U to set to uppercase has exact same effect, probably other modifiers will crash too.

on command line I get this :
QGArray::at: Absolute index 9 out of range
  KCrash: Application 'kate' crashing...

for info: this is an oldish bug, but I never had time to send in bug report.

Cheers,
