Mockup of proposed new matrix dialog

Mockup of proposed new matrix dialog.  
- users can no longer specify X and Y dimensions of the matrix 
- the datasource provides functions for reading a sub-range of the matrix
- the user can still specify scaling (x step size, y step size) and translation
(x minimum, y minimum) for the matrix, as these are just interpretation
parameters for the raw "blocks" provided by the datasource
