I have panel icons disappearing on a daily basis \
(http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105558 - duplicate). I'm running Cooker - devel \
branch of Mandriva and have updates 1-2 a day. It's unbelievably annoying, because in \
the panel I put apps I use most, so I have to readd them all the time. I'm already \
thinking of getting rid of kicker because of this.

My view is this: The panel icons are added by user, who knows what s/he's doing, so \
no process should touch them unless the user wishes.
