Here's some more info.
Gentoo, CFLAGS="-march=athlon -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -fweb \
-frename-registers", KDE 3.4.0, amarok-1.2.3. When I try to change some tags amarok \
always and immediately hangs (and the current song stops playing) as soon as I click \
OK. It no longer shows any activity and I have to kill it.
Now I recompiled amarok with CFLAGS="-O0", FEATURES="nostrip", USE="debug". Guess \
what. I can no longer reproduce it.
Wait a minute! Just as I am typing this, amarok stopped playing (it hangs) after it \
announced the next track. So now I get the reported behaviour, i.e. it hangs after \
completing the current song.
I'm trying to get a backtrace with "gdb `pidof amarokapp`" but after hitting Return a \
few times (---Type <return> to continue, or q <return> to quit---) I get this output \
from gdb: [...]

Previous frame inner to this frame (corrupt stack?)
That doesn't seem to be really useful.
