Summary: Plugins enabled by default don't work after installation
Product: kopete
Version: 0.10
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kopete-devel kde org
ReportedBy: jlp holodeck1 com
Version: 0.10 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: GCC 3.4.3
OS: Linux
I have installed Kopete 0.10 and I have used it for quite some time. But today I needed to check the \
history for some conversation and I couldn't find the View History entry in the context menu for the \
contact. I thought that maybe I have forgot to enable History plugin so I opened Configure Plugins \
dialog. I saw that two plugins were enabled by default: history and statistics. But none of them had \
entries in contacts context menu. To get the to show up I had to disable one of the plugins, apply and \
then reenable it. Now the entries show just fine in the context menu. I hope the plugins are also truly \
enabled now and work as they should.
One of my friends also had the same bug. I'm runing Kopete compiled for AMD64 and he is using a x86 \
machine.
Plugins that are enabled by default and shown as enabled in Configure Plugins dialog should work right \
away after installation.
