Summary: Amarok use almost 100% of CPU
           Product: amarok
           Version: 1.2-beta1
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: amarok-bugs-dist lists sourceforge net
        ReportedBy: doctorj softhome net

Version: 1.2-beta1 (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 3.3.4 (Debian 1:3.3.4-9ubuntu5)
OS: Linux

When I run amarok, my CPU usage jumps to essentially 100%. 'top' shows this:
   Cpu(s): 95.7% us, 1.3% sy, 0.0% ni, 3.0% id, 0.0% wa, 0.0% hi, 0.0% si
However, no process shows up in the list that has anything near that high of \
processor usage. When I quit amarok, CPU usage drops back to normal and my CPU drops \
down to the 600 MHz frequency.

I am running the Ubuntu "Warty Warthog" release. I compiled amarok1.2-beta1 from \
source against KDE 3.2.3 that I downloaded from the 'universe' component of the \
distribution. Perhaps this older version of KDE is the problem?

When building, configure was run with no flags. Gstreamer is the engine in use, using \
the alsa output.

My processor is a Pentium M 1.5 GHz. For comparison, running rhythmbox gets ~16% CPU \
usage.
