Summary: Does recurring todo's "recurrence rule" apply to due
date or start date?
Product: korganizer
Version: 3.3.1
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: reinhold kainhofer com
ReportedBy: gjditchfield acm org
Version: 3.3.1 (using KDE 3.3.1, SuSE)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.5-7.111-default
The recurrence rule portion of the Edit To-Do dialog could be clearer about what it \
edits:
I want to create a recurring to-do item, for a monthly bill, with a start date (the \
day the bill will probably arrive) and a due date (when it should be paid).
On the "Edit To-Do" dialog's General tab, I check "Due:" and enter "2004-11-07". I \
check "Start:" and enter "2004-11-01".
On the Recurrence tab I check "Enable recurrence" and then under "Recurrence Rule" I \
select Monthly. The rightmost part of the "Recurrence Rule" area offers a choice of \
"Recur on the [31st] day" and "Recur on the [5th] [Sunday]" (note that today is \
Sunday Oct. 31).
I have to change this, but I don't know what I'm changing. Is this the recurrence \
rule for the start date, or the due date? It would be helpful if the line that says \
"Recur every [1] month(s)" said "Due date recurs every [1] month(s)".
