I've been playing around with the settings, and with the height set to a higher \
number (such as the maximum 10) the behaviour is effectively the same as in previous \
versions (the spacing is adjusted according to the maximum number of lines needed for \
the current row of icons).

What I don't like is the increased horizontal spacing when large previews are \
selected (this isn't necessary!)

The name of the file could be included in the tooltip that appears when the pointer \
hovers - in fact, I'm amazed that it isn't there already!
