After a new install of kde I was asked if want KWallet being used when got the first time on a web page requesting a login. This box seemed to block the entire konquerer redrawing. Moving arround the box produced wired pictures as the koquerer background was not redrawn. 
This does not occure with KWallet boxes just asking for a password.
