------- Additional Comments From neokilly wanadoo fr 2004-08-31 23:31 \
------- Yes you're true, I've already configured my keyboard layouts to \
match my multimedia keys.

But though I had to search for the keycodes of the multimedia keys with xev \
to be able to assign them to a value of /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XKeysymDB. (for \
example : XF86AudioMute)

After that I had to create a file named .xmodmaprc in my home directory \
with all the couples "keycode xxx = XF86???????"

After that you must launch the command "xmodmap ~/.xmodmaprc" when Kde \
starts (so by creating a script to which launch this command in \
/.kde/Autostart/)

I'm using Mandrake 10.0 and by default you can't use the multimedia keys.

The idea is more to create an interface to be able to map these multimedia \
keys to be able to use them with khotkeys for example...

Though an other interface to process only the actions of multimedia keys \
could be very user friendly! Or at least explain that you have to use \
khotkeys if you want to use them.

Well I hope that what I say is understandable :p
vive kde ;)
