Yes, setting encoding fixes it.
Actually, you don't even have to set it. You just have to go to the dialog and click \
OK. Then the DEFAULT will ba saved to the configuration file, and then it starts \
working.

The problem is that KPilot sourcecode hardcoded defaults (not from the dialog) are \
not using a good combinations of encodings.

To fix it, I think you have to sync the dialog defaults (which are good) to the \
sourcecode defaults (which are bad).

Otherwise, people with new installations will keep reopening this bug, and you'll \
keep correctly claiming that setting the encoding will fix it.
