The strange part is Nadeem commit was part of KDE 3.2 according to the CVS logs(which my memory now recalls) -- we really should have heard about this bug. Something is wrong.

I will commit the patch since it's needed anyway, and do a complete KDE recompile/install before 5th august to get a clear answer. Until then, this is a grave bug.
