           Summary: wrong LC_ALL setting through kdeglobals
           Product: kcontrol
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Debian testing
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: kcmlocale
        AssignedTo: bieker kde org
        ReportedBy: arnd.diestelhorst web de

Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.2.3)
Installed from:    Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS:                Linux

After selecting Country/Region & Language settings through the control panel the \
[Locale] section of kdeglobals on my system looks like:

Country=de_DE
Language=de:en_US
...

The Language value for german is not a correct locale name, which is at least \
inconsistent. Unfortunately this leads to the following warning in kpackage (and \
probably other applications):

> perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
> perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
> 	LANGUAGE = "de_DE",
> 	LC_ALL = "de",
> 	LANG = "de_DE"
> are supported and installed on your system.
