Hi,

sendmail IS mail.  Look at the history.  If it's an old sendmail tradition
that works on some other mailer, that other mailer shouldn't do it.

Anyway, you shouldn't do things that depend on a particular mailer: especially
when it doesn't work on sendmail: a major clue you are doing somthing odd that
will break things.

You should NOT patch it: that will break the proper functioning of sendmail.

If you do patch it: I'll assume you are TRYING to break sendmail, and report
the patch that breaks sendmail.
