Yes, this is very annoying, because the workaround (temporarily setting smaller font size in \
Konqueror, print, resetting original font size) is a pain.
I agree with comment#4, and would go even further: there should be a specific 'print font' \
menu, where the user could specify font family _and_ size for all fonts. The reason is that \
some fonts print well and render less well on a screen and vice versa. In terms of \
presentation, I suggest two tabs (Display Fonts/Printing Fonts), each of them containing the \
font menu (Standard/Fixed/Serif/Sans serif/Cursive/Fantasy).
In addition, KDE could be smarter for the default behaviour, when no printing fonts are \
explicitely set. The reason why there is a size discrepancy in the first place is that screen \
resolution (available in the 'Info Center', or simply with `xdpyinfo | grep resolution`) is \
different from printing resolution. Printing resolution is, I think, assumed to be 72dpi, and \
screen resolution is usually higher (for example 101x101 on a 21" 1600x1200 screen). So the \
right thing to do by default is to dynamically correct by the ratio screen/print resolution.
