IE ignores // and takes the line after it in account, mozilla rejects the lines as \
konqueror does right now. 

So whatever you do, you will break with one major browser. So: WONTFIX.
// is not a valid CSS and the spec doesn't say what to do if you've got a
parsing error (unexpected // in text) and can continue with parsing (valid
"font-family: 10em;" after that.
