Summary: Invalid HTML printing error
Product: konqueror
Version: 4.0
Platform: SuSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: crash
Priority: NOR
Component: khtml
AssignedTo: konq-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: marktaff@comcast.net
Version: 4.0 (using KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 3.3 20030226 (prerelease) (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-4GB
Printing from the test case causes CPU to spin for hours. Test case has invalid \
HTML. The source seems to be the second <head> tag at the bottom of the page \
included to appease Internet Explorer. Removing this tag allows proper printing. \
The webmaster has been notified. See Microsoft article Q222064 for reason why there \
are two head tags. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/Q222/0/64.ASP&NoWebContent=1
Test Case:
http://ipac.kcls.org/ipac20/ipac.jsp?session=10729J78L318K.199668&profile=dial--1--1-- \
1&uri=link=1100003@!S408403@!1100001@!1100002&aspect=basic_search&menu=search&ri=1&source=198.104.63.130@!dial--1--1--1&term=Sheffield%2C+Charles&index=AA
If link doesn't work, try:
http://www.kcls.org/catalog/kclswebpac.cfm
then click `iPac Catalog`
Select `Exact Author/Name (Last,First), and enter `Sheffield,Charles`
Click on first result.
The results page is the test case.
Printing using CUPS
Note that Konqi renders the page fine, it is only printing that causes problems.
My specs:
AMD Athalon XP 2400
1GB RAM
OS: SuSE Linux 8.2
Desktop: KDE 3.1.1
Browser: Konquerer 3.1.1
I realize Konqi is not to blame for bad html, but it would be nice if it could print \
any page at least as well as it could render it.
Thanks for all your hard work!
Mark
