Not FreeBSD specific. The help in the control center (select Appearance & themes / \
colors, then click tab help) says

Non-KDE applications may also obey some or all of the color settings. See the "Style" \
control module for more details.

I don't think "Style" is appropriate here - the "apply colors to non-KDE" checkbox is \
now in the colors kcm, and style has nothing obvious related to this issue. The \
string freeze, of course, prevents fixing this.
