Ok, I really have no idea where this is happening, so there's one thing that you can \
try (the size of your collection and the number of matched items doesn't fit what I \
was expecting):

Run JuK in gdb using "gdb juk --nofork" -- it'll naturally be slow.  Go to the part \
where you're experiencing these problems and once it's run there for a couple of \
seconds hit ctrl-c in the gdb window forcing a break.  At that point you should be \
able to generate a backtrace by typing "bt".  It's probably worthwhile to do this a \
couple of times to see how the results compare.

That's about the only way that comes to mind for me to get an idea of what's going on \
-- not much seems to fit at the moment...
