Summary: Bugs in Shift+Left Mouse Button selection in message
                    list
           Product: kmail
           Version: 1.5.93
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmail@kde.org
        ReportedBy: kloecker@kde.org

Version: 1.5.93 (using KDE 3.1.93 (CVS >= 20031028), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3 20030226 (prerelease) (SuSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-4GB

I just want to make sure that we don't forget about them.

1st bug: If one enters a folder and then immediately uses Shift+LMB in order to \
select some messages then something completely different will be selected. The tree \
view mode in Konqueror has a similar problem. It wasn't reproducible with the \
listviews example of Qt. So it's probably a bug in KListView.

2nd bug: Use the arrow keys to select other messages and then try to select a few \
messages using Shift+LMB. This leads to different results: a) it works as expected, \
b) only the message you Shift+LMB click on is selected, c) too many messages are \
selected (it seems that a wrong start of the selection is remembered).

Most likely both bugs are symptoms for the same bug, namely that the start of the \
selection isn't correctly set when entering the folder/after changing messages with \
the keyboard.
