So when you start Kile next time all the documents you had opened last time you used Kile are re-opened and you can start typing right away. (This would also apply to some settings such as "main document" vs. "normal mode", etc.) I say this, because I am experiencing every day how annoying it is to think about "where did I stop yesterday?" and look for the appropriate document, especially when you write, say, a thesis which consists of several documents (one main document which "\include"s a lot of chapters that reside in separate files). BTW, Kate (the text editor) has such an option ("Re-open files on startup" (or so) which is enabled by default), JFYI.
