------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63539 Summary: no syntax highlighting for AWK scripts Product: kate Version: 2.1 Platform: unspecified OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kwrite-devel@kde.org ReportedBy: flavio.stanchina@tin.it Version: 2.1 (using KDE 3.1.3) Installed from: (3.0) Compiler: gcc version 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-athlon Kate is missing syntax highlighting[1] for AWK scripts, which I use a lot. I'm attaching an experimental "awk.xml" file, hacked from the C and Bash files, that is good enough for me and hopefully can serve as a basis for building something better by someone that really understands the syntax detection rules[2]. -- 1. Could we follow the i18n tradition and start saying "h10g" instead? Spelling "highlighting" correctly is painful. 2. http://docs.kde.org/en/3.1/kdebase/kate/kate-highlight-rules-detailled.html
