Well, each place has a different best solution, I think.

In the overall address viewer (with the scrolling window with the names of \
all the records), just show up to the first new line. So if I have 3 \
records, Andy, Brian\nmy brother, and Chris, the list would just show

Andy
Brian
Chris

The idea being that anything on the second line is secondary, and doesn't \
need to be listed.
But when the record titled Brian is selected, the address info would show

Brian
my brother

Right now the [] is shown in the listing, but the return is stripped in the \
Address Info.
The other place is in the individual address listing (after double-clicking \
a record). Here is a bit trickier. Would it be possible to have multi-line \
fields that only show a single line? Or only expanding when a field has \
more than one line. Then another question is what to do when the user hits \
return. Not sure otherwise. Perhaps as a short-term solution, at least show \
the unprintable char box. Is it possible to have a single-line, scrolling \
multi-line input field?
